Use grade rank to decide the order of students when sorted past course point average (GPA). For instance, the student with the highest GPA ranks at the top of the class. Since class rank calculates based on GPAs, the appropriate GPA calculation methods must exist earlier determining grade rank.

Create a class rank method to fix parameters for calculating the class rank. Use multiple class rank methods with varying settings to make up one's mind multiple sets of grade rankings. Manage Class Rank Methods

1. On the first page, choose Schoolhouse under Setup in the main menu.
2. Nether Grading, click Course Rank.
3. Click Class Rank Methods.
4. Click New.
5. Enter a description of the class rank method, such equally Class Rank - Elementary GPA.
6. Select the GPA calculation method to apply when calculating class rank. The GPA calculation method determines what is queried and how grades are calculated.
7. Select how yous desire to assess the course rank.
8. Select Merely include grades to include only grades for courses or sections that count in class rank. When selected, the course rank grade results may differ from GPA calculation results. This is the simply course rank method setting that returns a result that may differ from the GPA.
9. Select Exclude students to exclude students that are set as excluded from class rank on the students' Other Information folio. Some students may exist excluded from class rank considering they are enrolled for a short amount of time and should not be ranked amongst longer-term students.
10. Select Include early graduates? to include students that graduate early.

12. Click Submit.

Note:

 Though you tin can edit form rank methods, you cannot delete class rank methods via the Class Rank Settings folio. Instead, you must use Straight Database Access to remove the class rank method.

Recalculate Class Rank
